Become a pro at research!

Want to get involved in research but don’t know where or how to get started? PRO to the rescue! Pathways to Research Opportunities (PRO) is a series of events, workshops, and online learning segments that help you build the skills you need to find and apply for research positions that best suit your interests.

There are plenty of opportunities through the University of Rochester for research, whether its in a lab, working closely with a faculty member on campus, in the Rochester community, or beyond. River Campus Libraries, in conjunction with the Office of Undergraduate Research, the Greene Center, and others are joining efforts to offer PRO to undergraduates.

"not as intimidating”

From everything I learned, I now have direction on where to begin within the large field of research and I realize that networking and taking initiative is not as intimidating as it once seemed.

"created relationships”

I now know where to find existing research done by faculty in my department of study, I have created relationships that will enable me to interact with the faculty in my department about their research
